The glass in every shower screen we install in Brisbane is cut, processed, and toughened in Brisbane — not imported pre-cut, not adjusted from a standard size. The manufacturing component is completed at our Nerang factory, next to our showroom. Our aluminium is Australian-made, ensuring consistent quality.

The family behind REGAL has been in the glass industry for over 50 years. When you call us, you’re speaking to people who know the product and can give you sound advice.

Brisbane Shower Screen Types Compared

Most Brisbane homeowners know they need a new shower screen before they know which type suits their bathroom. The right choice depends on the size of the space, how the room is used, and whether a swinging door is even practical. Here’s how the main types compare — and which bathroom situations each one suits best.

Frameless Shower Screens Brisbane

Frameless shower screens use 10mm toughened glass and no perimeter frame — just discreet brackets holding the glass in place. The result is a clean visual line with nothing to collect soap scum and no tracks to scrub. There are 12 bracket finish options, from matte black to brushed gold, so the hardware can match existing tapware precisely.

The honest trade-off: frameless costs more than semi-frameless, and clear glass shows water spots faster. Brisbane’s water can be hard depending on the suburb — if cleaning frequency is a concern, Reed/fluted glass is worth considering as an alternative to clear.

Semi-Frameless Shower Screens

Semi-frameless pivot screens have a slimline perimeter frame with a fully frameless pivot door — there’s no vertical aluminium in the door itself, which keeps the open-glass look without the frameless price point. The pivot mechanism uses a patented captive stainless steel pivot pin, which runs quietly and holds alignment over time.

Standard layouts, most renovation budgets, new builds — these screens suit most Brisbane bathrooms. The frame perimeter requires cleaning, but it’s low maintenance. For Brisbane homeowners renovating on a realistic budget, this is where most people land.

Sliding Shower Screens

Sliding shower screens have no swing clearance requirement — the door slides rather than opening into the bathroom. That makes them the practical choice for compact Brisbane bathrooms and ensuites, where a swinging door would conflict with the vanity, toilet, or towel rail. A minimum requirement for a 2-door slider is 1400W opening.

The mechanism uses dual-roller carriages with stainless steel bearings and quick-release rollers, with full-length magnetic seals along the door edge. It runs quietly and holds a consistent seal. If your bathroom is tight on space, this is the type to look at first.

Bath Shower Screens

Bath shower screens are purpose-built for over-bath installation — a different set of dimensions and fixing requirements to a standard shower recess. REGAL makes them in frameless and semi-frameless options, custom-sized to the bath. If you’re adding a screen to an existing bath rather than fitting out a new shower, this is the right product.

Glass Shower Panels

A glass shower panel is a fixed panel only — no door. It suits open-plan wet room designs or partially enclosed shower areas where a door isn’t needed. Panels are custom made to measure up to 2400mm maximum width for no bracing, and are fixed via clip, shelf bracket, or channel.

Service Area

Brisbane Suburbs We Install Shower Screens In

brisbane shower screens

REGAL services Brisbane from our Nerang factory — close enough to run same-day measure visits across the city most days.

We install shower screens across inner Brisbane — South Brisbane, West End, Fortitude Valley — and throughout the Southside suburbs, including Sunnybank, Mount Gravatt, and Carindale. Northside customers in Chermside, Aspley, and Everton Park are well within our regular run, as are the western suburbs — Indooroopilly, Kenmore, and Brookfield. We also cover Bayside areas, including Wynnum and Manly, and service Logan and the Ipswich surrounds.

The free on-site measure covers most of these areas. We come to the property, measure the exact space, and have a fixed quote ready before we leave.

How It Works

Free Measure to Finished Installation in Brisbane

Getting a new shower screen should feel simple from the first call. We handle the full process ourselves, from the free on-site measure through to custom manufacturing and installation by our own team. That means your Brisbane shower screen is measured properly, made to fit the exact opening, and installed without you needing to organise separate trades or guess what size you need.

2
Free On-Site Measure — Across Brisbane
We visit the property and measure the exact space. This isn’t an estimate based on approximate dimensions — it’s a precise measure that accounts for walls that are out of plumb, non-standard recesses, and anything else that affects how the screen fits. Whether it’s a new installation or a shower screen replacement in Brisbane, the measurement visit is where the job is properly understood. We cover Brisbane and the surrounding suburbs.
3
Same-Day Fixed Quote
A fixed-price quote, not a price range, is ready the same day we measure and scope the job. That’s how every Brisbane shower screen measure and installation we do is priced.

FAQs

Brisbane Shower Screen FAQs

Shower screen pricing in Brisbane varies by type, size, configuration, and hardware finish. Semi-frameless screens are mid-range — they’re the most common choice for standard bathroom renovations and represent good value for the finish you get. Frameless screens sit at the premium end, largely because of the 10mm toughened glass and the cost of the bracket hardware. The glass type also affects price — Reed/fluted glass costs more than standard clear. REGAL provides a quote on the day of the measure — a single price that covers supply and installation.

The on-site installation itself typically takes a few hours, depending on the configuration. Between the measure visit and installation there’s a manufacturing lead time while your screen is made to order at our Nerang factory — we can give you a  timeframe when we quote. The measure visit,  quote, and installation scheduling all happen in sequence with no waiting around for a callback.

The main differences are glass thickness, frame presence, and price. Frameless screens use 10mm toughened glass held by brackets with no perimeter frame. Semi-frameless screens use 6mm toughened glass with a slimline aluminium frame around the perimeter. For a full breakdown of both options, see our frameless vs semi-frameless comparison.

In most cases, yes. We measure to the existing recess, so a replacement screen usually fits without disturbing the tiles. There are exceptions. If the old screen was poorly fitted, or the recess has significant damage, or a tile lifts when we remove the existing screen, some retiling may be needed. We pick most of these up at the measure visit, so you’ll know before any work starts. See our shower screen replacement guide for more details on what’s involved.

Yes — we service Brisbane and surrounds from our Nerang factory, covering inner Brisbane, northside, southside, the western suburbs, bayside areas, Logan, and the Ipswich surrounds.

Yes. All glass used in REGAL shower screens is toughened safety glass compliant with AS2208 and AS1288. This applies to every product we install — frameless, semi-frameless, sliding, bath screens, and panels.

For new builds and renovations going through council approval, we can also provide a Form 15 & Form 43 — Glazing (Shower Screens), confirming compliance with AS1288 (2006) glazing standards. Ask us about this when you book your measure.

Shower doors is another term for the door component of a shower screen — the part that opens and closes, whether that’s a hinged door on a frameless screen, a pivot door on a semi-frameless screen, or a sliding door on a sliding screen. Yes, we install all types across Brisbane. All shower screen doors are custom-made to measure and installed by our own team. Read our Shower Door Guide for more information.

No — REGAL supplies and installs all products. Shower screen installation involves more than fitting glass to a wall: the screen needs to be precisely measured to the recess, correctly sealed for waterproofing, and installed to meet AS2208 and AS1288 compliance requirements. The tolerances involved are tighter than they look, and a poorly fitted screen typically costs more to fix than professional installation would have cost at the outset.

All REGAL shower screens carry a 2-year warranty. Moving parts — hinges, rollers, pivot mechanisms — are covered for 12 months.

We install frameless shower screens, semi-frameless pivot screens, semi-frameless sliding screens, bath shower screens, and glass shower panels — all custom-made to measure for the exact space. For the full range of frameless options specific to Brisbane, see our frameless shower screens Brisbane page.
